Once their season ended, several New York Jets players let the world know how they truly felt about Mark Sanchez, but according to New York ’s shutdown corner Darrelle Revis, there was a lot more that head coach Rex Ryan had no clue about when it came to what was really going on with his team.
“After the season, we talked,” Revis told the NFL Network on Thursday after the AFC Pro Bowl practice in Hawaii. “Basically, he didn’t know a lot of things that were going on behind the scenes. It was just so much stuff. I’m really not going to get into it because some of the stuff is real deep. But he didn’t know a lot of the things. He wanted people to say things to him. But obviously it didn’t come out. It came out on the field (late in the season).” -Source
Ryan can only blame himself for not knowing what was what causing problems within the locker room on his team. With the type of culture he established there, it was only a matter of time before he began to lose control. The inmates started running the asylum and once that happens all hell breaks loose.
Now he’s got to stay true to his coaching style and regain control all at the same time.
