Desean Jackson is so ecstatic he finally got the long term deal he’s been waiting for (5-years, $50 million) that he’s guarenteed a Super Bowl within the lifespan of that deal:
USAToday: “I’m just happy to still be here.”
“In one of those years, I’m going to guarantee a Super Bowl. We’ve been so close since I’ve been here the past four years. …The sky’s the limit.
“Hands down I think we’re one of the best teams in the NFL. I want to shoot for the Hall of Fame. I want to shoot for Super Bowls. That’s something I haven’t done yet.”
Not to say that he’s crazy for thinking that way, but guarentees don’t mean much at all in football or sports in general. In fact, it’s getting pretty old.
We know everyone wants to win the Super Bowl… do it or watch peacefully from the sidelines and do your talking on the field.
