According to published reports, later today, high flying Los Angeles Clippers standout, Blake Griffin, will be named the NBA Rookie of the Year. ( No surprise there).
The high-flying Dunk Champion had one of the best rookie seasons in NBA history averaging 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
Not to mention the 6-foot-10 power forward from Oklahoma managed to nab a coveted spot on the West All-Star team, becoming the first rookie to accomplish such a feat since Yao Ming did it back in 2003.
Honestly, Blake had this award locked up two months ago. Seriously, who even came close?? NO ONE! That’s who.
“If someone doesn’t vote for Blake, they haven’t watched a lot of basketball,” Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said before the team’s season finale against the Memphis Grizzlies on April 13.
Couldn’t agree with you more Vinny. Blake earned this award – - – hands down!
