Rumors: Lakers To Sign Rasheed Wallace & Trade For Michael Beasley?

Even though the L.A. Lakers are in the hunt for a top seed in the Western Conference, it’s hard to see them fulfilling Kobe Bryant’s hefty goal of yet another NBA Title with the roster as it’s currently constructed.

So a few weeks ago, one of the many rumors that surfaced was that the Lakers would consider signing Rasheed Wallace if he came out of retirement and now there are reports that he’s headed to L.A. after all.

Meanwhile, after rumors that the Minnesota Timberwolves have inquired about Pau Gasol, offering up rookie Derrick Williams, now it’s come out the the Lakers have asked about Michael Beasley’s availability, according to NBA Insider Chris Broussard.

They’ve also watched Gilbert Arenas workout, been in contact with Allen Iverson, and spoken to the Cleveland Cavaliers about Ramon Sessions.

Clearly, the Lakers want badly to make changes, the only question now is what move, or moves, will they actually make. Whatever it is they do, they better do it fast.
